Celui-ci lui offre la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9crire ses premiers projets de fiction et de documentaire (Notamment \u00abLe th\u00e9\u00e2tre amateur\u00bb, s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 dans le cycle \u00ab Cent ans de court-m\u00e9trage \u00bb de la cin\u00e9math\u00e8que fran\u00e7aise, ainsi que le sc\u00e9nario de long-m\u00e9trage \u201cle grand projet\u201d, laur\u00e9at du prix Michel d\u2019Ornano du festival de Deauville 1996).<br \/>Prenant le parti d\u2019un cin\u00e9ma comme m\u00e9dium global, il pratique l\u2019\u00e9criture, le montage, la r\u00e9alisation et la cr\u00e9ation sonore au sein de sa soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de production, \u201cles productions polaires\u201d.<br \/>Cherchant des modes d\u2019expressions plus intuitifs que dans l\u2019audiovisuel conventionnel, il pratique la vid\u00e9o exp\u00e9rimentale, puis met en oeuvre des outils informatiques permettant de condenser les phases de montage, traitements image\/son et diffusion en un seul temps. En s\u2019entourant de musiciens improvisateurs il cr\u00e9e des performances sc\u00e9niques o\u00f9 la cr\u00e9ation des images num\u00e9riques et de la musique proc\u00e8de du m\u00eame instant et du m\u00eame geste, soit dans des modalit\u00e9s d\u2019interaction, soit gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la ma\u00eetrise de l\u2019improvisation en image, rendue possible par le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019interfaces sp\u00e9cifiques. L\u2019enjeu est d\u2019approcher une autre qualit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9criture cin\u00e9matographique \u00e9labor\u00e9e sous la dictature de l\u2019instant et de l\u2019intuition. Il travaille \u00e9galement sur des projets th\u00e9\u00e2traux dans lesquels l\u2019image est int\u00e9gr\u00e9e d\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e9criture, ainsi que pour la sc\u00e8ne rock.<br \/>\u00c0 partir de 2008, il se tourne vers la cr\u00e9ation de dispositifs et d&rsquo;installations cin\u00e9tiques, visuelles ou sonores dont il programme les comportements en fonction de logiques auto-g\u00e9n\u00e9ratives, interactives ou hybrides. Il d\u00e9veloppe ainsi un parcours d&rsquo;artiste multidisciplinaire\u00a0tendu vers un propos r\u00e9solument humaniste. Les proc\u00e9d\u00e9s num\u00e9riques qu&rsquo;il utilise sont extraits de leur contexte technique pour \u00eatre mis au service d&rsquo;un discours intemporel inspir\u00e9 de la litt\u00e9rature et de la philosophie. Eric Vernhes fait ainsi exister des cr\u00e9ations anthropo\u00efdes: le mouvement propre des oeuvres, en \u00e9pousant celui de notre conscience, semble \u00e9pouser aussi notre propre humanit\u00e9 et nous en donne le spectacle.<br \/>Repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 \u00e0 Paris par la Galerie Charlot, son travail est montr\u00e9 dans les salons internationaux, centres d&rsquo;arts et fondations. Il enseigne \u00e9galement les arts technologiques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><strong><em>After a degree in architecture directed by Paul Virilio, Eric Vernhes worked in film production alongside Anatole Dauman (Argos films). The latter gave him the opportunity to write his first fiction and documentary projects (Notably \u00ab\u00a0Le th\u00e9\u00e2tre amateur\u00a0\u00bb, selected in the cycle \u00ab\u00a0Cent ans de court-m\u00e9trage\u00a0\u00bb of the French Cinematheque, as well as the feature film script \u00ab\u00a0le grand projet\u00a0\u00bb, winner of the Michel d&rsquo;Ornano prize at the Deauville festival in 1996).<\/em><\/strong><br \/><strong><em>Taking the side of cinema as a global medium, he practices writing, editing, directing and sound creation within his production company, \u00ab\u00a0les productions polaires\u00a0\u00bb. <\/em><\/strong><br \/><strong><em>Looking for more intuitive modes of expression than in conventional audiovisual, he practices experimental video, then implements computer tools that allow him to condense the phases of editing, image\/sound processing and broadcasting in a single step. Surrounding himself with improvising musicians, he creates stage performances where the creation of digital images and music proceeds from the same moment and the same gesture, either in interaction modalities, or thanks to the mastery of image improvisation, made possible by the development of specific interfaces. The challenge is to approach another quality of cinematographic writing elaborated under the dictatorship of the moment and intuition. He also works on theatrical projects in which the image is integrated from the writing stage, as well as for the rock scene. <\/em><\/strong><br \/><strong><em>Since 2008, he has been creating kinetic, visual or sound devices and installations whose behaviors he programs according to auto-generative, interactive or hybrid logics. He has thus developed a multidisciplinary artistic path tending towards a resolutely humanistic approach. The digital processes he uses are extracted from their technical context to be put at the service of a timeless discourse inspired by literature and philosophy.
