“Gerridae“, co-produit par la Galerie Charlot, rejoint la collection de la fondation Artphilein à Locarno ainsi que celle de la fondation Maxine et Stuart Frankel à Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
La fondation Artphilein a été fondée en 2006 par les collectionneurs Gianfranco et Caterina De Pietri. Ses activités s’organise autour de l’acquisition, l’édition, le sponsoring, le don et le prêt aux institutions et musées. “Our collection is like our diary, the common thread of our existence, the result of our reflections and interests, our memory of countries visited and people we have met (…) we collect other people’s memories and creations in order to express ourselves and be self-reflective. At a certain point this ‘diary’, virtually overflowing with topics and interests, seemed to be asking for another physiognomy, to be further defined, and, above all, to be independent from our respective personalities. Consequently the Foundation became a separate entity from the collectors themselves.”
La fondation Frankel a été créée en 1997 par les collectionneurs Maxine et stuart Frankel. Elle soutient et collabore étroitement avec le Crankbook Art Museum, le Musée d’Art de l’université du Michigan et l’université du Michigan.
